5 reasons why Hijab is necessary and beneficial

In my previous post(Click HERE to get it), some of my friends objected that the subject matter was not made clear enough. So, at first, I apologize for the unwanted mistake. Today, I am going to shed light on a very important question regarding Hijab, and it is, “WHY HIJAB?”.

 Below are the 5 reasons why Hijab is necessary for women and how it is beneficial:

1. To save them from being molested: Allah says in the Holy Quran,

“This is more appropriate so that they may be known (as Muslimah) and thus not be harassed (or molested).” (Surah Al – Ahzab: 59)

2. To save her from multiple men: Hijab basically indicates that the women wearing it is very much conservative (so-called obviously) about her ethics and gives a secret message to the lusty men that she is not a good choice to play with. Hijab protects a woman with all her purity for only one man, her HUSBAND.

3. To strengthen the family system and marriage: Using Hijab allows a woman to be saved from other men and thus she can maintain her family much better than a blonde who is always busy with her male friends rather than her child (if she has any).

4.To divert the thinking of men about her: Wearing Hijab forces a man to think about the internal beauty of a girl, rather than lusting on her physical appearance.

5. To uphold the women's rights: In many of the countries today (Western ones, specifically), it is a common practice to use the picture of naked girls in their advertisements of food, fashion, airplane, company, sports, etc. By Allah, my brothers and sisters, this is not what we call freedom of women, this never was. Rather this is one of the most sexist things one can ever think about Women, i.e. to present their body only to attract customers and forget that they also have a mind and intellect. Now, someone might popup the question that it is the free will of a girl to choose what to wear, so she can go naked around too. I totally (?!) agree, if it is true for Hijab too. Unfortunately, it is not.

Statistics show that more than 50 percent of the hijabis in America and other western countries are harassed. What type of free America is that?

All the above-mentioned reasons are the socio-economic benefits of wearing Hijab. Hijab actually beautifies a woman and tells others that she is special. That’s why she needs to be covered. People still say that devoid of these benefits, women are getting raped even in Muslim countries or where Hijab is in practice. I absolutely agree with them, but read this:

Saudi Arabia has the least rape crime statistics (Some differ and say Azerbaijan [Statistics by UN 2010] as an option which is also a Muslim country).

Really? Don’t believe me? Then read this again:

The top 5 amazing nations to stand in the highest rape crimes are the USA, South Africa, Sweden, the UK, India. (Click here and here).

OMG! What am I noticing? I thought that the highest would be in Saudi Arabia or any Muslim country. Well, indeed, it is not. And why not? The answer is in the Hijab and enforcement of strict laws (they are not strict btw).

Hijab is not a tradition imposed, rather it’s a safety measure to save women from lusty men, and men from lusty women.
